Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 148:4

Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, from Layth, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from Sa'id ibn Sinan, from Anas ibn Malik, from the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: "Indeed, when Allah intends good for a servant, He hastens the punishment for him in the world. And when Allah intends evil for a servant, He withholds [the punishment] for his sin from him until he meets Him on the Day of Resurrection."
