Musnad Sa'id ibn Zayd ibn 'Amr ibn Nufayl (RA)

Hadith 41:8

Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Yazid bin Harun narrated to us, Ibn Abi Dhi'b informed us, from al-Harith bin 'Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Salamah, who said: Marwan said to us: "Go and reconcile between these two, Sa'id and Arwa." So we came to Sa'id bin Zayd, and he said: "Do you see me as having diminished anything of her right? I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: 'Whoever takes a span of land without its right, it will be circled around his neck from seven earths.'" "And whoever takes charge of a people without their permission, upon him is the curse of Allah. And whoever seizes the wealth of his brother with his right hand (i.e., by a false oath), then may Allah not bless him in it."
