Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 160:186

Ahmad ibn ‘Isa narrated to us, ‘Abdullah ibn Wahb narrated to us, from ‘Iyad ibn ‘Abdullah al-Qurashi, from Sa‘id ibn Abi Sa‘id, from Abu Hurayrah, that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, is there an hour of the night or day in which you command me not to pray?" The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "When you have prayed the morning prayer, refrain from prayer until the sun rises, for it rises between the two horns of a devil. Then, prayer is witnessed, attended, and accepted until the sun reaches its zenith. When the sun reaches its zenith, refrain from prayer until the sun inclines. He said: 'At that time, Hell is stoked, and the intensity of the heat is from the scorching of Hell.' When the sun has passed its zenith, prayer is attended, witnessed, and accepted until you pray the afternoon prayer. When you have prayed the afternoon prayer, refrain from prayer until the sun sets. Then, prayer is witnessed, attended, and accepted until you pray the morning prayer."
