643. 'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, Hammad bin Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad bin Ishaq, from Salim al-Makki: That a Bedouin said: "I arrived in Medina with a milch animal of mine, and I stayed with Talhah bin 'Ubayd Allah. I said: 'I have no knowledge of the people of the market, so if you would sell [it] for me?' He said: 'Indeed, the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbade that a resident should sell for a Bedouin. But go to the market and see who will trade with you, then consult me so that I may command you or forbid you.'"
