'Abd al-A'la ibn Hammad narrated to us, Bishr ibn al-Sari narrated to us, from Ibn 'Uyaynah, from Yazid ibn Khusayfah, from al-Sa'ib ibn Yazid, from the one who narrated to him from Talhah ibn 'Ubayd Allah: That the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, wore two coats of mail on the day of Uhud.
