Hadith 4:6

Al-Qawariri narrated to us, Abdullah bin Dawud narrated to us, from Talha bin Yahya, from Ibrahim—Ibn Dawud said: I think he said: a freed slave of ours—from Abdullah bin Shaddad, from Talha bin Ubaydullah: He said: Three men came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Who will take care of these for me?" So I took care of them. Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent out an expedition, and one of them went out and was killed. Then the other two remained with me. Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent out another expedition, and the other one went out and was killed. Then the last one remained with me, and he fell ill and died in his bed. Talha said: I saw them in a dream, as if the one who died in his bed was the first of them to enter Paradise, and the last of them to enter was the one who was killed first. I mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and he said: "What do you find strange about this? For the believer [attains] such and such [by way of] glorification (tasbih)." Ibn Dawud said: This is its meaning.
