Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 117:110

Al-Qawariri narrated to us, Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas: That the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) used to deliver the sermon leaning against a date-palm trunk. When the pulpit was built, he delivered the sermon upon the pulpit, and the trunk moaned. The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) came to it and embraced it. He said: "Had I not embraced it, it would have moaned until the Day of Resurrection."
