Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 117:120

'Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr al-Muqaddami narrated to us, Ja'far narrated to us, Thabit narrated from Anas: That when the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) entered Makkah, the people of Makkah stood in two rows. He said: And 'Abdullah ibn Rawahah was saying: "Clear the way, O sons of the disbelievers, from his path. Today we shall strike you for its revelation, a striking that removes the heads from their resting places, and makes the close friend forget his close friend. O my Lord, I believe in his statement." He said: So 'Umar said, "O Ibn Rawahah, do you recite poetry in the presence of the Messenger of Allah and in the Sanctuary of Allah?" He said: So the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Desist, O 'Umar, for this is more severe upon them than the striking of arrows."
