Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 117:15

Shayban narrated to us, Sulayman ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, Thabit narrated to us, he said: Anas said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to be pleased by a vision. Sometimes a man would see a vision, and if the Prophet (ﷺ) did not know him, he would ask about him. If he was praised for goodness, he would be even more pleased with his vision. A woman came to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I saw as if I was brought and taken out of Medina and entered into Paradise. I heard a loud thud that caused Paradise to shake. I looked, and behold, it was so-and-so, son of so-and-so, and so-and-so, son of so-and-so," and she named twelve men whom the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had sent on a military expedition of that same number. "They were brought, wearing dusty garments, and their jugular veins were bleeding. It was said: 'Take them to the river of al-Baydhaj or al-Bayrah.' They were dipped into it, and they emerged with their faces like the moon on the night of the full moon. Then a platter of gold was brought to them containing dates, and they ate of its dates as much as they wished. They would not turn it to any side except that they ate from the fruit whatever they desired, and I ate with them." Then the bearer of glad tidings came from that expedition and said: "Such and such happened to us, and so-and-so and so-and-so were struck down," until he counted twelve men. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) called the woman and said: "Relate your vision." She related it, and she began saying: "So-and-so was brought, and so-and-so was brought," just as he had said.
