Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 117:58

Hadaba narrated to us, Sulayman ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, he said: Thabit said: Anas said: When the waiting period of Zaynab ended, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to Zayd: "Go to her and mention me to her." He said: So Zayd went and came to her while she was kneading her dough. He said: She became so great in my chest that I could not look at her when I knew that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) had mentioned her. So I turned my back to her and retreated on my heels. I said: "O Zaynab, rejoice! The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) has mentioned you." She said: "I will not do anything until I consult my Lord." So she stood up and went to her place of prayer, and the Quran was revealed. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) entered upon her without permission. Anas said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) feed us bread and meat upon her [marriage], until the day extended. He said: The people left, but a group remained in the house talking, and he had become comfortable with their conversation. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) went out, and I followed him. He began to go around to the chambers of his wives, greeting them, and they would say: "How did you find your wife, O Messenger of Allah?" I do not know whether I informed him that the people had left, or he was informed. So the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) went until he entered the house. I went to enter with him, but he cast the curtain between me and him, and the verse of the hijab (veil) was revealed, and he admonished the people with what they were admonished with.
