Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 117:60

Al-Abbas ibn al-Walid al-Narsi narrated to us, Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman narrated to us, 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Umar narrated to us, from Thabit al-Bunani, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was delivering the sermon on Friday, and the people stood up to him and shouted, saying: "O Prophet of Allah, the rain has ceased, the trees have turned red, and the livestock have perished, so call upon Allah to give us rain." He said: "O Allah, give us rain. O Allah, give us rain." He said: And by Allah, we did not see a single patch of cloud in the sky. Then a cloud formed and spread out, and then it rained. The Prophet of Allah (ﷺ) descended, prayed, and departed, and it did not cease raining until the following Friday. When the Prophet (ﷺ) stood up to deliver the sermon, they shouted at him and said: "O Prophet of Allah, the houses have collapsed and the paths have been cut off, so call upon Allah to withhold it from us." He said: "O Allah, around us and not upon us." He said: So it cleared away from Medina, and it began to rain around it, while not a single drop fell in Medina. I looked at Medina, and it was like a crown.
