Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 117:88

Abu al-Rabi' narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas, who said: I was the cupbearer for the people on the day [alcohol] was prohibited in the house of Abu Talha, and their drink was nothing but *al-fadikh* (a mixture of) unripe dates and dried dates. Suddenly, a caller called out: "Beware, alcohol has been prohibited." He said: So it flowed in the streets of Medina. Abu Talha said: "Go out and pour it away." He said: So I poured it away. They said—or some of them said—"So-and-so was killed and so-and-so was killed, while it was in their stomachs." I do not know if this is from the hadith of Anas, [but he said]: Then Allah revealed: "There is no sin upon those who believe and do righteous deeds for what they consumed..." [Surah al-Ma'idah: 93] until the end of the verse.
