Hadith 117:9

'Abd al-A'la ibn Hammad narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas, who said: I took 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Talhah to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). The Messenger of Allah took him while he was in a cloak, smearing [tar on] a camel of his. He said, "Do you have any dates with you?" I said, "Yes." I handed him some dates, and he threw them into his mouth and chewed them. Then he opened the boy's mouth and spat them into his mouth, and he began to smack his lips. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said, "The love of the Ansar is dates," and he named him 'Abd Allah.
