Hadith 2:100
Zuhayr narrated to us, Yahya bin Sa'id narrated to us, from Shu'bah, who said: Abu Bakr bin Hafs informed me, from Salim, from Ibn 'Umar, that 'Umar saw a garment of brocade or silk upon a man. He said: "O Messenger of Allah, if only you would buy it." He (the Prophet) said: "Indeed, only he who has no share (in the Hereafter) wears this." He (Ibn 'Umar) said: Then a *siyra'* (striped) garment was gifted to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he sent it to me. I said: "You sent it to me, yet I heard you say about it what you said?" He said: "I only sent it to you so that you might benefit from it."
