Hadith 2:37

Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, my father Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, Hisham ibn Sa’d narrated to us, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from his father, from Umar: That a man used to be nicknamed "the Donkey," and he used to gift the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) a skin of ghee and a skin of honey. When the owner of it would come to demand payment from him, he would bring him to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and say, "O Messenger of Allah, give this man the price of his goods." The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) would do nothing more than smile and order that he be paid. Then, one day, he was brought to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) having drunk wine. A man said, "O Allah, curse him! How often he is brought to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace)!" The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said, "Do not curse him, for he loves Allah and His Messenger."
