Abu Ubaydah ibn al-Fudayl ibn Iyad narrated to us, Malik ibn Sa'ir narrated to us, from al-Ajlah, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, from Umar ibn al-Khattab, who said—and I do not see it except that he has attributed it (to the Prophet): He judged regarding the hyena, if a person in the state of ihram kills it, that a sheep is due. Regarding the rabbit, a young she-goat is due. Regarding the jerboa, a young goat (weaned) is due. Regarding the gazelle, a ram is due.
