Musnad Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA)

مسند عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه

Hadith 2:76

Ibrahim ibn al-Hajjaj narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Ali ibn Zayd, from Abu Rafi’, from Umar ibn al-Khattab, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was at al-Hajun, and he was sorrowful and sad. He said, "O Allah, show me a sign today, and I will not care who among my people denies me after it." So he called a tree from the direction of the mountain pass of the people of Medina. He called it, and it came, splitting the earth until it reached him, and it greeted him. Then he commanded it, and it went away. He said, "I do not care who among my people denies me after it."

حدثنا إبراهيم بن الحجاج حدثنا حماد عن علي بن زيد عن أبي رافع عن عمر بن الخطاب * أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان بالحجون وهو كئيب حزين فقال اللهم أرني اليوم آية لا أبالي من كذبني بعدها من قومي فنادى شجرة من قبل عقبة أهل المدينة فناداها فجاءت تشق الأرض حتى انتهت إليه فسلمت عليه ثم أمرها فذهبت قال فقال ما أبالي من كذبني بعدها من قومي
