Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 2:8

Muhammad ibn al-Sabah and Zahmuwayh narrated to us, they said: Hushaym narrated to us, Mansur narrated to us, from Qatadah, who said: Abu al-Aliyah informed us, from Ibn Abbas, who said: More than one person informed me from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace—among them was Umar ibn al-Khattab, and Umar was the most beloved of them to me—that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, forbade prayer after the dawn until the sun rises, and after the afternoon (Asr) until the sun sets.
