Hadith 90:1

Ibrahim ibn al-Hajjaj al-Sami narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Abu Sinan, from Abu Talhah al-Khawlani, who said: We came to Umayr ibn Sa’d among a group of the people of Palestine—and it used to be said that he was "a fabric of his own" (i.e., unique)—and we sat on a large bench of his in his house. He said to his servant, "O servant, bring the horses to water." He said: And in the house was a stone trough. He said: So he brought them to water. He said: "Where is such-and-such [female horse]?" He said: "She has mange, dripping with blood," or he said, "dripping with fluid"—Abu Ishaq was in doubt—"so bring her to water." One of the people said: "If you do that, all the horses will get mange." He said: "Bring her to water, for I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: 'There is no contagion, no superstition, and no owl [as an omen]. Have you not seen the camel among the camels, how it is in the desert, then it wakes up with a spot on its chest or its flank that was not there before? So who infected the first one?'"
