Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 209:51
Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet (SAW)
Hadith 209:51
'Umar ibn Shabbah Abu Zayd narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Uthmah narrated to us, he said: Musa ibn Ya'qub narrated to me, from Yazid ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Wahb, that his father informed him, from Umm Salamah, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to enter upon his wives every morning and greet them. There was a woman among them who had honey, and whenever he entered upon her, she would bring him some of it, and he would stay with her. 'Aishah and Hafsah felt [jealousy] because of that. When he entered upon them, they said: "O Messenger of Allah, we smell the scent of *maghafir* (a foul-smelling resin) on you." He said: "Then I will abandon that honey."
