Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 209:73

Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet (SAW)

Hadith 209:73

Sahl ibn Zanjalah narrated to us, Ibn Abi Uways narrated to us, he said: My father narrated to me, from ‘Ikrimah ibn ‘Ammar, from Aththal ibn Qurrah, from Ibn Hawshab al-Hanafi, he said: Umm Salamah narrated to me, she said: Fatimah, the daughter of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, with al-Hasan and al-Husayn riding on her hip, and in her hand was a pot for al-Hasan containing *sakhin* (a type of hot food), until she brought it to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. When she placed it before him, he said to her: "Where is Abu al-Hasan?" She said: "In the house." So he called him, and the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, ‘Ali, Fatimah, al-Hasan, and al-Husayn sat eating. Umm Salamah said: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, did not invite me, and he never ate food while I was with him except that he invited me before that day. She meant by *samani* (invited me to it). When he finished, he wrapped them in his garment, then said: "O Allah, be an enemy to those who are enemies to them, and be a friend to those who are friends to them."
