Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 95:4

'Amr al-Naqid narrated to us, 'Amr bin 'Uthman al-Kilabi al-Raqqi narrated to us, Asbagh bin Muhammad narrated to us, from Ja'far bin Burqan, from Shaddad, the freed slave of 'Iyad, from Wabisa—Abu 'Uthman 'Amr, meaning bin Ma'bad, said: "If Allah wills"—that he used to stand among the people on the day of al-Adha or the day of al-Fitr and say: "I witnessed the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, during the Farewell Pilgrimage, and he was saying: 'What day is this?' The people said: 'The Day of Sacrifice.' He said: 'Then what month is this?' Then he said: 'What land is this?' They said: 'This land.' He said: 'Indeed, your blood, your wealth, and your honor are sacred to you, like the sanctity of this day of yours, in this month of yours, in this land of yours, until the day you meet Him.' Then he said: 'O Allah, have I conveyed? Let the witness convey to the absent.' Wabisa said: 'We bear witness against you just as he bore witness against us.'"
