Abu Khaythama narrated to us, 'Umar ibn Yunus al-Hanafi narrated to us, 'Ikrimah narrated to us, Yazid al-Raqashi narrated to us, he said: I heard Anas ibn Malik say: I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say: "There are three [traits]; whoever possesses them is a hypocrite, even if he fasts, prays, performs Hajj, and performs 'Umrah, and says: 'I am a Muslim': when he speaks, he lies; when he promises, he breaks it; and when he is entrusted, he betrays."
