Ahmad ibn Ishaq Abu Abd Allah al-Jawhari al-Basri narrated to us, Makki ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, Musa ibn Ubaydah al-Rabadhi narrated to us, from Yazid al-Raqashi, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Allah sent eight thousand prophets; four thousand to the Children of Israel and four thousand to the rest of the people."
