Musnad Ahmad 38:17

'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Mansur, from Abu Sa'id al-Khuza'i, from Ibn Abza: "That the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to point with his index finger during the prayer."
