Musnad Ahmad 27:1009

Ishaq ibn Sulayman narrated to us, Malik narrated to us, from Nafi’, from Ibn Umar, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) saw a slain woman in one of his military expeditions. He disapproved of that and forbade the killing of women and children.
