Musnad 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (RA)
Hadith 27:1032
'Affan narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from 'Asim ibn 'Ubayd Allah, [who said]: I heard Salim ibn 'Abd Allah narrating from his father, that 'Umar said: "O Messenger of Allah, what do you see regarding that which we do; is it a matter newly begun, or a matter that has already been finished?" He said: "A matter that has already been finished. So act, O son of al-Khattab, for everyone is facilitated [toward what he was created for]. As for the one who is among the people of felicity, he acts for felicity; and the one who is among the people of wretchedness, he acts for wretchedness."
