Musnad Ahmad 27:1070

He said: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, sent us on an expedition toward Tihamah, and we obtained spoils of war. Our shares reached twelve camels each. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, granted us an extra camel each as a reward (nafal).
