Musnad Ahmad 27:1101

Ali ibn Hafs narrated to us, Warqa’ narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Dinar, from Ibn Umar: "That the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade *al-qaza’* (shaving part of the head and leaving part of it) on the head."
