Musnad 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (RA)

Hadith 27:1182

Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, Musa ibn Uqbah narrated to us, Salim ibn Abdullah informed me that he heard Ibn Umar narrating from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace): "That he met Zayd ibn Amr ibn Nufayl at the lower part of Baldah, and that was before the revelation descended upon the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) presented to him a tray containing meat, but he refused to eat from it and said: 'I do not eat from what you slaughter upon your altars, and I do not eat from what the name of Allah has not been mentioned over.'" Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, from Musa ibn Uqbah, from Salim ibn Abdullah, from Abdullah ibn Umar, from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace): "That he was approached while he was at the resting place (al-mu'arras) of Dhu al-Hulayfah, and it was said to him: 'You are in a blessed valley.'"
