Hajjaj narrated to us, Shareek narrated to us, from al-Hurr ibn al-Sayyah, who said: I heard Ibn Umar saying: "The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, used to fast three days of every month: Thursday of the beginning of the month, the Monday that follows it, and the Monday that follows that."
