Musnad Ahmad 27:1200

Abu Ubaydah al-Haddad narrated to us, from Asim ibn Muhammad, from his father, from Ibn Umar: "That the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, forbade loneliness; that a man should sleep alone or travel alone."
