Musnad Ahmad 27:1228

Abu al-Nadr narrated to us, 'Uqbah ibn Abi al-Sahba' narrated to us, Nafi' narrated to us, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) called out to the people: "The prayer is a gathering." 'Abdullah heard that, so he went to his family quickly. He cast off the clothes that were upon him, and put on clothes in which he used to come to the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). Then he went to the prayer ground, and the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) had already descended from his pulpit, and the people were standing before him. He said: "What has the Prophet of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) introduced today?" They said: "He has forbidden nabidh (fermented drink)." He said: "Which nabidh?" They said: "He has forbidden the gourd (duba') and the hollowed-out log (naqir)." I said to Nafi': "What about the earthenware jar (jarrah)?" He said: "And what is the jarrah?" I said: "The glazed jar (hantamah)." He said: "And what is the hantamah?" I said: "The water jug (qullah)." He said: "No." I said: "What about the pitch-coated vessel (muzaffat)?" He said: "And what is the pitch-coated vessel?" I said: "The skin that is coated with pitch, and the large clay jar that is coated with pitch." He said: "No, he did not forbid on that day anything except the gourd and the hollowed-out log."
