Musnad Ahmad 27:1349

Muhammad ibn Ubayd narrated to us, Ubaydullah narrated to us, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar: "Men and women used to perform ablution together from a single vessel during the time of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace."
