'Affan narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Amr narrated to us, Abu Salamah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to me, that Ibn 'Umar narrated to him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Every intoxicant is Khamr (wine/intoxicant), and every intoxicant is unlawful." I said to him: "Our companions narrated to us from Ibn Sirin, from Ibn 'Umar, and he did not attribute it to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him." He said to me: "Abu Salamah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Awf narrated to me, that Ibn 'Umar narrated to him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said it."
