Surayj narrated to us, Abdullah narrated to us, from Nafi’, from Ibn Umar, who said: "I have never fasted the day of Arafah, nor did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) fast it, nor did Abu Bakr, nor did Umar."
