Musnad Ahmad 27:1492

Hashim ibn al-Qasim narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Abu Bakr ibn Hafs, from Salim ibn 'Abd Allah, from his father, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, sent to 'Umar a garment of silk, or *sira* (silk mixed with gold/other material), or something similar to this. He saw it upon him and said: "I did not send it to you for you to wear it; it is only the clothing of one who has no share (in the Hereafter). I only sent it to you so that you might benefit from it."
