Musnad Ahmad 27:1516

Rawh narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, I heard Nafi’ say: Ibn ‘Umar said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent [us] to kill dogs." I was among those who were sent, so we killed the dogs until we found a woman who had come from the desert, and we killed a dog of hers.
