Abu al-Yaman narrated to us, Shu'ayb informed us, Nafi' informed us, that Abdullah ibn Umar said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade a man from proposing to a woman whom his brother has already proposed to, until the one who proposed first abandons it or gives him permission."
