Musnad Ahmad 27:1599

Yunus narrated to us, Laith narrated to us, from Nafi’, from Abdullah, from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that he said: "Behold, when one of you dies, his seat is presented to him in the morning and the evening. If he is among the people of Paradise, then [he is shown his place] among the people of Paradise, and if he is among the people of the Fire, then [he is shown his place] among the people of the Fire, until Allah the Exalted resurrects him on the Day of Resurrection."
