Musnad Ahmad 27:1637

Surayj ibn al-Nu‘man narrated to us, Fulayh narrated to us, from Nafi‘, from Ibn ‘Umar, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) delayed the night prayer (Isha) one night until we slept, then we woke up, then we slept, then we woke up. He only detained us because of a delegation that had come to him. Then he came out and said: "There is no one waiting for the prayer other than you."
