Musnad 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (RA)
Hadith 27:1705
Al-Hakam ibn Nafi’ narrated to us, Abu Bakr—meaning Ibn Abi Maryam—narrated to us, from Damrah ibn Habib, who said: Abdullah ibn Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded me to bring him a *mudyah*—which is a blade—so I brought it to him. He sent it to be sharpened, then he gave it to me and said: "Come to me with it in the morning." I did so, and he went out with his companions to the markets of Medina, where there were skins of wine that had been brought from Ash-Sham. He took the blade from me and slit the skins that were in his presence. Then he gave it back to me and commanded his companions who were with him to go with me and assist me. He commanded me to go to all the markets, and that I should not find any skin of wine in them except that I should slit it. I did so, and I did not leave a single skin in its markets except that I slit it.
