Musnad 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (RA)
Hadith 27:1713
Isma'il ibn 'Umar narrated to us, Kathir—meaning Ibn Zayd—narrated to me, from al-Muttalib ibn 'Abd Allah, from 'Abd Allah ibn 'Umar, that he was standing at 'Arafat. He looked at the sun when it had descended like a shield for sunset, so he wept, and his weeping intensified. A man with him said to him: "O Abu 'Abd al-Rahman, you have stood with me many times and you did not do this." He said: "I remembered the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, while he was standing in this place of mine, and he said: 'O people, there has not remained of your world, in relation to what has passed of it, except like what has remained of this day of yours, in relation to what has passed of it.'"
