Musnad Ahmad 27:173

Yahya narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Ajlan, Nafi’ narrated to me, from Ibn ‘Umar: "That he used to pray upon his riding beast, and he would perform the Witr prayer upon it, and he would attribute that to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace."
