Musnad Ahmad 27:1791

Hajjaj and Abu al-Nadr narrated to us, they said: Layth narrated to us, Nafi’ narrated to me, from Abdullah: "That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) burned the date palms of Banu al-Nadir and cut them down, and they were the Buwayrah." Then Allah the Exalted revealed: "Whatever you have cut down of [their] palm trees or left standing on their trunks - it was by permission of Allah" [Al-Hashr: 5], to the end of the verse.
