Musnad Ahmad 27:181

Isma'il narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Nafi', who said: Ibn Umar, "when he entered the nearest part of the Haram, would cease the Talbiyah. When he reached Dhu Tuwa, he would spend the night there until morning, then he would pray the dawn prayer and perform ghusl. He would relate that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, used to do that." Then, "he would enter Makkah in the forenoon, come to the House (the Ka'bah), touch the Stone, and say: 'In the name of Allah, and Allah is the Greatest.' Then he would perform ramal (brisk walking) for three circuits, and walk between the two corners. When he reached the Stone, he would touch it and say the takbir for four circuits walking. Then he would come to the Maqam (Station of Ibrahim) and pray two rak'ahs. Then he would return to the Stone and touch it. Then he would go out to Al-Safa from the Great Gate, stand upon it, and say the takbir seven times. He would say the takbir three times, then say: 'There is no god but Allah alone, He has no partner, to Him belongs the dominion, and to Him belongs the praise, and He is capable of all things.'"
