Musnad Ahmad 27:1824

Ibn Numayr narrated to us, Ubaydullah and Hammad—meaning Abu Usamah—narrated to us, he said: Ubaydullah informed me, from Nafi’, from Ibn Umar, from the Prophet (peace be upon him), that when he would go out, he would go out by way of al-Shajarah, and he would enter by way of al-Mu’arras. Ibn Numayr said: "And when he entered Makkah, he would enter by way of the upper mountain pass (thaniyyah al-ulya) and go out by way of the lower mountain pass (thaniyyah al-sufla)."
