Musnad Ahmad 27:1833

Ibn Numayr narrated to us, Ubayd Allah narrated to us, Nafi’ informed me, from Ibn Umar, that he informed him: "That the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) cut [the hand of a thief] for a shield whose value was three dirhams."
