Musnad Ahmad 27:1858

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Sufyan informed us, from al-A'mash and Layth, from Mujahid, from Ibn 'Umar, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Give permission to the women to go to the mosque at night." His son said to him: "By Allah, we will not give them permission, lest they take it as a means of corruption." He (Ibn 'Umar) said: "May Allah do to you and may Allah do to you! I make you hear that I say: 'The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said,' and you say: 'No'?" Layth said: "But let them go out without perfume."
