Musnad 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (RA)
Hadith 27:194
Sufyan narrated to us, he said: Amr—meaning Ibn Dinar—said: They mentioned the man who enters into the state of Ihram for an Umrah and then exits it; is it permissible for him to approach—meaning his wife—before he performs the Tawaf between al-Safa and al-Marwah? So we asked Jabir ibn Abdullah, and he said: "No, not until he performs the Tawaf between al-Safa and al-Marwah." And we asked Ibn Umar, and he said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arrived, performed the Tawaf around the House seven times, prayed two rak'ahs behind the Maqam, and performed the Sa'i between al-Safa and al-Marwah." Then he said: "There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern [of conduct]" [Al-Ahzab: 21].
